Amelia Island State Park
Where: State Road A1A on the southern tip of Amelia Island.
Amenities: Over 200 acres of beaches, marshes and forest. Fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, hiking. Entrance fee.

American Beach Historic Park
Where: 5508 Gregg Street, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: pavilion/shelter, restrooms, tables and picnic area

Atlantic Rec Center and Pool
Where: 2500 Atlantic Ave., Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Main pool is 25 yards long. Also a kiddie pool and water feature area consisting of a frog slide and fountains. Concessions during summer public swim hours. Parking.

Bryceville Ball Park
Where: 7280 Motes Road, Bryceville
Amenities: Lighted baseball and softball, parking, sheltered areas, play areas, restrooms, and tables

Buckman Town Square Park / Old Gym Facility
Where: 27531 West Third Ave., Hilliard
Amenities: Playground, small track, parking.

Burney Beach Park
Where: 1556 Gregg St., Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Beach access at historic American Beach, large parking lot, restrooms, fishing allowed, indoor and outdoor showers, and sheltered tables.

Callahan Ball Park
Where: 36076 Ball Park Road, Callahan
Amenities: Baseball field, tables, picnic area

Cary State Forest
Where: US 301, Bryceville
Amenities: Primitive camping, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking, pets allowed

Central Park     Read Review

Amenities: Four lighted tennis courts; a baseball practice field as well as minor, major and senior league baseball playing fields; a football playing field; large playground area; a gazebo and picnic tables.

Egans Creek Greenway
Where: Entrances at 2500 Atlantic Ave. (behind Rec Center), Jasmine Street and Citrona Drive, all in Fernandina Beach.
Amenities: Over 300 acres along Egans Creek with grass-covered roads for walking and biking. Parking at Rec Center and street-side off Jasmine Street.

Amenities: Baseball practice field, playground and picnic tables.

Fernandina Beach Skate Park
Where: Tarpon Avenue (at Main Beach), Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Skate park open from dawn until dusk for skateboards and in-line skates. Helmets required.

Fort Clinch State Park     Read Review about the Fort

Amenities: A 19th century fort, self-guided nature trails, undeveloped beach, campgrounds, bicycling, hiking. Fee to enter, additional fee to tour fort.

Four Creeks State Forest
Where: Entrances at intersection of Bismarck and Pacetti Roads, Callahan, and SR 200 (A1A) and Four Creeks Road, Hilliard
Amenities: Relatively new park on over 13,000 acres of forest; offers hiking on dirt roads, though it has no official trails yet. Natural boat landings for kayakers. Some hunting.

Amenities: Boat ramp, fishing, parking, covered picnic areas with tables, paved walking trails play areas and restrooms.

Hickory Street Park
Where: Hickory Street, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: A multi-purpose field and two baseball practice fields.

Hilliard Ball Park
Where: 175355 Bay Road, Hilliard
Amenities: Baseball field, tables, picnic area

John Muir Ecological Park
Where:463039 SR 200, Yulee
Amenities: A wooden walkway with railings leading into the woods to site where David Yulee’s railroad used to pass through. Some small shelters with benches along the walkway

Main Beach Park     Read Review
Where: 32 N Fletcher Ave. (intersection of Fletcher and Atlantic avenues), Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Beach access, two sand volleyball courts, a playground, several picnic shelters, restrooms, outdoor showers, a multipurpose court, a skate park, basketball courts, in-line hockey and open space.

Martin Luther King Jr. Center and Pools
Where: 1200 Elm St., Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Main pool is 20 yards long. Concessions during summer months.

Nassau Humane Society Dog Park
Where: 641 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: 1.3 acre dog park with four bathing stations, swimming pool and separate play area for small dogs. Pay daily entry fee or longer term fee at a reduced rate. Note: No children under 13 allowed; kids ages 13-18 must have an adult with them.

Nassauville Park
Where: 1127 Hatton Road, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: At this time, it’s an “undeveloped” property.

North End/DD Bartels Nature Center Park and Boat Ramp
Where: 97177 Pogey Place, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Boat ramp, fishing, tables/picnic area, pavilion.

North Oxford Baseball Grounds and Park
Where: 371195 Oxford St., Hilliard
Amenities: Baseball field, basketball court, parking.

Oxford Street Park / Swimming Pool
Where: 37516 Oxford Street, Hilliard
Amenities: Pool, open space, parking.

Peck Gymnasium
Where: 516 S 10th Street, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: a basketball court, 2 volleyball courts, weight room, cardio equipment, a library, an auditorium and a reception room.

Peter’s Point Park
Where: 1974 S Fletcher Ave., Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Beach access, large paved parking, fishing allowed, indoor and outdoor showers, restrooms and sheltered tables/picnic area.

Scott Road Beach Access (Drive On)
Where: 4902 Amelia Island Parkway, Fernandina Beach
Amenities: Beach access, paved parking.

Simmons Memorial State Forest

Amenities: Hiking, horseback riding, off-road bicycling, primitive camping, hunting, leashed pets allowed

Southend Walkover

Sunrise Park
