Military Families Tour St. Augustine Free One Day in December Each Year

The City of St. Augustine, Fla., opens its doors once a year to military families, offering free admission to virtually all of its attractions in an event it calls “USO Pal Day.” Active duty military, family members, retirees, reservists and National Guard are all eligible for the event, which was Dec. 3 in 2012. The 2012 USO Pal Day included a free lunch at Elks Lodge #829 (a shuttle bus will be available to get you there). There was also free train and bus rides and free parking across the street from Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Doors to all attractions were open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
