Easy Banana Pudding

No matter how messy it gets, your banana pudding will taste delicious.

There are many fabulous versions of banana pudding, but when I cook with my toddler, I like to keep it simple. I prepare the pudding ahead of time — personally, I prefer the taste of Jell-O Cook & Serve pudding to the instant varieties. The assembly is a snap, and my son does most of the work, which makes him very proud. No matter how messy this gets, it will still taste the same: delicious!

4 cups vanilla or banana-flavored pudding

1/2 box vanilla wafers, left whole or coarsely crushed, depending on your preference

3 bananas, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds

Whipped cream or Cool Whip

In individual dessert cups or an 8 x 8 pan, spread alternate layers of pudding, bananas, and wafers, beginning and ending with pudding. Top with whipped cream. Eat immediately or chill for later.
